美國總統川普 (Donald Trump) 在周四記者會大罵媒體之後，似乎仍嫌不過癮，周五在推特上加碼痛批，點名紐約時報、CNN、NBC（國家廣播公司）等媒體，是美國人民的敵人。
據《ZeroHedge》報導，川普這次共發了兩次推文，他把第一次的推文刪除，重新修正後又發了一次。他在首次推文上說：「造假的媒體 (沈淪的 @nytimes、@CNN、@NBCNews 及其他很多) 不是我的敵人，是美國人民的敵人。噁心 (SICK!) 」
幾小時後，他把這則推文刪除，重寫了一則，修改了媒體內容，刪掉「SICK!)」 部分，寫道：「造假的媒體 (沈淪的 @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) 不是，是美國人民的敵人。」加入了 ABC （美國廣播公司）及 CBS （哥倫比亞廣播公司）。
其實不只川普，白宮策略長 Steve Bannon 先前也表示，媒體是「敵對陣營」，差別在於，他並沒有指出特定的媒體或記者。
川普的推文也引來不少媒體記者的反駁，NBC News 的歷史學家 Michael Beschloss 則以水門案期間尼克森 (Richard Nixon) 的說法做為回應，指出在 1972 年時，尼克森告訴季辛吉：「媒體是敵人、機構是敵人、教授是敵人。」
